Vladimir Acimovic was born in 2002 in Niš (Serbia). He received his first piano lessons at the age of seven and was taught at the Niš Music School in the class of Prof. Suzana Mardikiyan-Novakovic. He is currently studying with Prof. Milana Chernyavska at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. He is also a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and regularly participates in the intensive weeks and activities of the music academy there. This allows him to collaborate with professors such as Dmitri Bashkirov, Pavel Gililov, Milana Chernyavska and Arie Vardi. He attended further master classes with Arbo Valdma, Kemal Gekic and Bruno Canino. He also took piano courses with famous Bulgarian piano professors such as Milena Kurteva and Ilia Tchernaev.

Just a few months after he started playing the piano, he already won his first international prizes, including the 1st prize at the international piano competition in Šabac (Serbia, 2010 and 2011), the Grand Prix at the international competition “Isola del Sole” in Grado (Italy, 2010), the 1st prize at the national competition in Belgrade (2011 and 2017), the 1st prize at the international competition for young musicians “Ohrid Pearls” in Ohrid (Macedonia, 2012), the 1st prize at the international competition “New Pianists” in Sofia (Bulgaria, 2014), the 1st prize at the international competition “Craiova-Piano” in Craiova (Romania, 2015), the 1st prize and the special prize for the best performance of the work by Claude Debussy at the international piano competition “Virtuosi per musica di pianoforte” in Ústí nad Labem (Czech Republic, 2015), the 1st prize at the international competition for young pianists in Niš (Serbia, 2010 and 2016) and the 2nd prize at the international piano competition “Isidor Bajic Piano Memorial” in Novi Sad (Serbia, 2016). In 2019, he was awarded the 4th International Piano Competition for Young Pianists “Merci, Maestro!” in Brussels (Belgium). 1st prize awarded.

Vladimir Acimovic has already performed in Bulgaria, Italy, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Romania, Russia, Switzerland, Serbia and the Czech Republic. He gave recitals at the international festivals “Constantinus” and “Nimus” in Niš, in the Liechtenstein National Museum, in the Kolarac Cultural Center in Belgrade, in the Concert Hall of the Symphony Orchestra and in the Synagogue of Niš, as well as in all major cities of Serbia. He gave his first concert with orchestra at the age of 10 in one of the most prestigious concert halls in Serbia, the Great Hall of the Kolarac Foundation, as well as in the Royal Palace in Belgrade together with the Amoroso Chamber Orchestra and conductor Milena Injac. He performed as a soloist with the Niš Symphony Orchestra conducted by Daniele Moles and with the ArtLink String Orchestra. As a representative of the Serbian Ministry of Culture, he performed as a soloist with the Presidential Orchestra of the Russian Federation under the direction of Anton Orlov in the concert hall of the Great Kremlin Palace, in St. George Hall, and at the Melodika Pokoleniy Festival in Moscow.

Vladimir Acimovic is a laureate of the “Constantinus Prize 2012”, which is awarded to the most promising musicians under the age of 18, and is also a scholarship holder of the Fund for Young Talents of the Republic of Serbia. He has also received the “Dositeja Award” from the Serbian Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts Award, which is given to emerging young talents of Serbia for their achievements in the field of culture. He also won the 3rd prize in the Major category and the special prize for the most promising pianist at the 2nd International Piano Competition in Radovljica in 2021. In the same year Vladimir won the 2nd prize at the International Competition for Young Pianists Arthur Rubinstein in memoriam in Poland.
