Discovering the world of music together

School concerts

Sometimes delicate and quiet, sometimes pompous and loud, sometimes on string instruments, sometimes on percussion or with their own voice: At the :alpenarte school concerts, the youngest audience from 6 to 14 years of age discovers the broad spectrum of the musical world. In age-appropriate, moderated concert formats, children learn about different genres and styles in a participatory way and experience a lively concert program in the Angelika-Kauffmann-Hall.

2026: Sing, jam and shout!
Evelyn Fink-Mennel and the Kons Fiddlers combine folk music from all over the world with joy of playing, improvisation and musical diversity. Since their foundation at the Feldkirch Conservatory, they have been inspiring audiences with their award-winning programs and spontaneous musical enthusiasm. Five musicians with violins, viola, double bass and electric guitar – or “33 strings and 10 vocal chords” – meet lively rhythms and a shared love of sound – sometimes virtuosic, sometimes free, always rousing.

The students experience the ensemble and their instruments up close and once again this year gain a lively approach to music – because chamber music is so much more than just a few instruments playing together.
