Martin Schleske: The development of a violin

Exhibition

The exhibition by renowned violin maker, physics engineer and author Martin Schleske provides a fascinating insight into the creation of a string instrument – from the raw wood to the sonorous concert violin. In his workshop in Landsberg am Lech, Schleske combines traditional craftsmanship with scientific precision and artistic design.

The exhibition reveals how sound is created: through the selection of decades-old woods, the finest craftsmanship and a sensitive understanding of resonance, form and material. Each violin is unique – created for musical expression and emotional depth.

As part of the :alpenarte Festival, the exhibition combines music and craftsmanship in a special way and invites you to discover the world of string instruments from a new perspective.
