Music mediator, folk music researcher, pedagogue: Evelyn Fink-Mennel is involved in the most diverse areas of music. It is the bridges and relationships between styles and eras, people and places, which sie interessieren. Born in Andelsbuch, studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, lived and researched there for many years, she now loves her home in Schwarzenberg as much as the versatility of her professions: Since 2008, lecturer at the Stella Vorarlberg and supervisor of the “Center for Folk Music Research in the Lake Constance Region”; teaching at the Lustenau Music School; active concert and course activities as initiator of yodeling courses, children’s fiddle classes and song-led workshops at elementary schools, high schools and in adult education; director of the music workshops “Glatt & Verkehrt” (Lower Austria) and “Radix Musikwerkstatt” (walserherbst). Editor and author of books and articles on topics related to folk music in the Alps and art music.
