Miriam Kutrowatz

Soprano

The Viennese soprano began her career in 2020 at the Theater an der Wien. From 2022 to 2024, she was a member of the ensemble at the Vienna State Opera, where she made her debut as Papagena and appeared in numerous roles such as Barbarina (Le Nozze Di Figaro), Pousette (Manon) and Gianetta (L’Elisir d’Amore). Concert appearances have taken her to the Vienna Musikverein (Mozart Requiem, J.S. Bach – Mass in B minor), the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg (Mahler Symphony No. 8), the Philharmonie Cologne, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra Prague. She has worked with conductors such as Christian Thielemann, Semjon Bychkov, Ivan Fischer and Philippe Jordan. In the 2024/25 season, Kutrowatz returned to the Zurich Opera House and was engaged at the Komische Oper Berlin, Het Concertgebouw, the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and the Czech Philharmonic Prague.

She has also performed in various operetta roles as part of the Johann Strauss anniversary year 2025. Trained at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, she is a three-time Cesti prizewinner for baroque opera and was a semi-finalist at the Glyndebourne Opera Cup. She has attended master classes with Marijana Mijanovic, Brigitte Fassbaender, Laura Aikin and Malcolm Martineau, among others.
