Eva-Nina Kozmus was born in 1994 and began her musical career at the age of five. Later she studied with Prof. Milena Lipovšek, with whom she successfully completed her studies at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana in 2010. That same year, she joined the class of professors Philippe Bernold, Julien Beaudiment, Claude Lefebvre and Gilles Cottin at the Conservatoire national supérieur musique et danse (CNSMD) in Lyon, where she graduated in 2013 and earned her master’s degree in 2015.

Eva-Nina Kozmus is the winner of numerous international competitions. At the prestigious competition “Eurovision Young Musicians 2010” in Vienna she reached the 1st place. She is also a scholarship holder at the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein.

The young flutist is a regular guest at international festivals such as FESTIVAL NEXT GENERATION Bad Ragaz in Switzerland, Bell’Arte Frankfurt RheinMain in Germany, Rising Stars Moscow in Russia, Festival Messiaen in France, Molyvos International Music Festival in Greece, Allegro Vivo Festival in Austria, Slovenian Flute Festival Zagorje in Slovenia and Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Germany. As part of Arte Network, she appeared in the television program “Stars from tomorrow” with Rolando Villazón. At his invitation, she will make her debut at the Mozart Week in Salzburg in 2020.

Eva-Nina Kozmus has already performed as a soloist with numerous orchestras (Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, Toledo Symphony Orchestra, RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, Junge Sinfonie Berlin, Orchestra of the Allegro Vivo Festival, Liechtenstein Symphony Orchestra, Zagreb Soloists, etc.). and conductors such as Stefan Sanderling, En Shao, Toshihiro Yonezu, Florian Krumpöck, Cristian Orosanu, Patrick Lange, Bijan Khadem-Missagh, George Pehlivanian, Cornelius Meister and others.

A passionate chamber musician, Eva-Nina Kozmus plays in various international chamber ensembles and has performed with artists such as Catharina Chen, Benedict Kloeckner, Danae and Kiveli Dörken, Yury Revich, Marc Bouchkov, Laura Ruiz Ferreres, Solenne Paidassi, Céline Moinet, Sebastian Manz, Adrien Boisseau, Kian Soltani and many others. She also forms the Slovenian Harp Trio together with Karmen Pecar Koritnik (violoncello) and Mojca Zlobko Vajgl (harp).

The young flutist has performed in chamber music concerts and recitals in many European countries, in Russia and in America, and is regularly invited as solo flutist by various orchestras, including the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Lyon, the Orchestre National de Lyon, the Orchestre National de Bordeaux, the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Toulon, the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Oslo Philharmonic, the Orchestre de Limoges and the Symphony Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona.

Eva-Nina Kozmus is pleased to collaborate with Slovenian and international composers whose works she has premiered. In 2012, a collection was published under the title “Moods” with works by Slovenian composers dedicated to her.

The young musician plays regularly in the Liechtenstein Symphony Orchestra and is a member of the ENSEMBLES ESPERANZA, which consists of scholarship holders of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and was awarded an “OPUS KLASSIK” in 2018. In 2019 she is “artistic director in residence” at the :alpenarte festival in Bregenzerwald/Schwarzenberg in Austria.
