AORA – an impressive Swedish a cappella group consisting of six talented voices with diverse musical backgrounds. Together they create vocal masterpieces in the genres of pop, jazz and folk music. AORA’s unique music is characterized by a mixture of original compositions and creative arrangements. Since its foundation in 2016, the group has continuously developed and matured to become the impressive ensemble they are today.
In November 2022, AORA released their debut EP “Puls”, on which they present impressive music in Swedish. “Puls” illustrates thoughts, feelings and dilemmas that one can be confronted with in life.
The reviews of the EP praised the harmonious sounds and impressive musicality of the group as well as the catchy lyrics and playful arrangements of the songs.
AORA’s success speaks for itself: they won the coveted 1st prize at the Tampere Vocal Music Festival 2021 and previously received the 2nd prize at the renowned German a cappella competition International A Cappella Contest Leipzig 2019. In 2022, AORA was also awarded a scholarship for vocal ensembles by the world-famous Swedish male choir Orphei Drängar.
