Born in 2009, Tsotne Zedginidze received his first piano lessons at the age of five from his grandmother and professor Nino Mamradze, who still teaches him today. He began composing at the age of six and has been developing his compositional style ever since. Tsotne has played a considerable number of concerts in Europe and Japan. He has performed in major concert halls and festivals – as a pianist and composer. His mentors include Lisa Batiashvili, Daniel Barenboim, Jörg Widmann, Sir Simon Rattle, Alfred Brendel and Antonio Pappano. Tsotne has been supported by the Lisa Batiashvili Foundation since 2021.
In 2024, Sir Simon Rattle invited him three times as a soloist for orchestral concerts. Pianistic highlights in 2025: recital at the Konzerthaus Berlin at the invitation of Bechstein, a tour with the Stuttgart Philharmonic and concerts in Japan with the New Japan Philharmonic under the direction of Andrey Boreyko, as well as a recital tour in Japan, Seoul and Taipei. His first symphony was premiered on January 28, 2025 by the Camerata Salzburg under the direction of François Leleux at the Mozart Week in Salzburg, followed by performances in Spain, Stockholm (Swedish Chamber Orchestra) and Edinburgh (Scottish Chamber Orchestra).
