Tetiana Lutsyk was born in 1994 in Kolomyya (Ukraine) and received her first violin lessons at the age of six. From 2006 to 2008 she received lessons at the music boarding school in Kharkiv in the class of Prof. Sergey Evdokimov and from 2008 to 2012 at the music boarding school “Solomiya Krushelnytska” in Lviv in the class of Prof. Mariya Futorska. In June 2017, she successfully completed her studies with Prof. Leonid Sorokov at the Zagreb Academy of Music. She is currently studying with Prof. Priya Mitchell at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz.
Tetiana Lutsyk attended master classes with Dora Schwarzberg, Maria Milstein, Boris Brovtsyn, Sven Arne Tepl and Kees Koelmans, among others, as well as with members of the Cuarteto Casals, the Alban Berg Quartet and the Juilliard String Quartet. She received further musical impulses during a master class with Prof. Oleh Krysa, who teaches at the Eastman School of Music – Conservatory in Rochester/New York. She is also a scholarship holder at the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks there.
The young musician has already won several prizes at national and international competitions, including 1st prize at the international competition “Young Virtuoso” in Croatia in 2013, 3rd prize at the international competition “Francesco Geminiani” in Italy in 2014, 1st prize at the international competition “Bistricki zvukolik” in Croatia in 2015 and 3rd prize at the international violin competition “Luigi Zanuccoli” in Italy in 2016.
Tetiana Lutsyk performed as a soloist with the chamber orchestra of the “Solomiya Krushelnytska” music boarding school in Belgium, France, Poland and Ukraine. In 2012 she performed Alexander Glazunov’s Violin Concerto with the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra. During her first year of study, she performed Jean Sibelius’ Violin Concerto with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra to great acclaim and soon after landed a part-time position with the orchestra. She is currently a member of the ENSEMBLES ESPERANZA, which consists of scholarship holders of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein. She also plays in various chamber music ensembles, with which she performs in numerous concerts and competitions.
Tetiana Lutsyk received scholarships from Jeunesses Musicales Germany as well as from the International Summer Academy of the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
