Singer

Nadia Maria was born in 1993 and was already performing in front of large audiences at the age of four. At the age of six, she received her first piano lessons from Elena Büchel at the Feldkirch Music School and later at the Liechtenstein Music School. At the age of ten, also at the Liechtenstein Music School, she had her first singing lesson with Enikö Nagy. In 2007 she moved to the music high school in Feldkirch and the Vorarlberg State Conservatory. In 2012 she began her studies at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel with Prof. Isolde Siebert. In June 2017, she completed both her “Master of Arts in Performance” and her “Minor in Jazz” with Ann Malcolm at the Musik- Akademie Basel with honors.

Nadia Maria has already been awarded in numerous competitions. In 2007 she won the 1st prize with distinction at the “Liechtenstein Music Competition” both in the category of solo singing and in the category of ensemble singing. In 2009 she participated in the “Swiss Youth Music Competition” in St. Gallen and achieved the 3rd prize. In 2010 she took part in the music competition “Prima la musica” in Austria and won a 1st prize with excellent success at the state and national competition. In 2011, she was awarded 1st prize with distinction and the “Special Prize of the Werdenberg Festival” at the “Swiss Youth Music Competition” in both the regional elimination and the nationwide final. In 2012 she won a scholarship from the Richard Wagner Foundation, which enabled her to attend three performances at the Bayreuth Festival. In March 2015, she was awarded the Friedl Wald Foundation Sponsorship Award.

In 2005 Nadia Maria took part in the production of Josef Rheinberger’s Singspiel “Der arme Heinrich” scenically and choristically. In 2007, she successfully performed at the Podium concert series in Vaduz and played the dew-man in Engelbert Humperdinck’s opera “Hansel and Gretel” as part of a production by Dora Kutschi-Doceva’s vocal class. In 2010 she participated choristically in a production of the operetta Balzers in Carl Zeller’s “Der Vogelhändler”. In 2012 she was heard in Salzburg with Michael Haydn’s Singspiel “Der Bassgeiger zu Wörgl”, both as part of the prelude to the Salzburg Festival and at the 4th Michael Haydn Week. Numerous concerts and performances followed in Croatia, Liechtenstein, Austria, Poland and Switzerland at various ceremonial events, such as the awarding of the “Golden Laurel Leaf”. She also had a concert recorded in the Vaduz hall. The video was presented in the Liechtenstein pavilion at the Expo in Shanghai. In February 2015, she performed at the FESTIVALS NEXT GENERATION in Bad Ragaz in the concert “Slavic Soul”, which was broadcast on Radio Swiss Classic.

In 2016, Nadia Maria participated very successfully in the TV show “Die grössten Schweizer Talente”, where she advanced to the final. The following year she reached 2nd place in the SRF decision show for the “Eurovision Song Contest 2017”. In the meantime she had several performances in Poland, among others together with visual artist LESKIER. She is currently recording her debut album with Musikvertrieb AG in collaboration with Polish producer Aleksander Tomaszkiewicz.
