Tomislav Vuk\u0161ic was born in 1980 in Zagreb, Croatia. There he first attended the music school “Vatroslav Lisinski” in the class of Prof. Ratko Podvorac. He then studied at the Zagreb Academy of Music in the class of Prof. Darko Petrinjak. He completed his master’s degree at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague in the class of Prof. Zoran Dukic. During his studies in The Hague, Tomislav Vuk\u0161ic received a prestigious scholarship from the Huygens Scholarship Program, which is awarded only to the most talented students.<\/p>\n
Tomislav Vuk\u0161ic attended master classes with world famous guitarists such as Pavel Steidl, Carlo Marchione, Pablo M\u00e1rquez, Aniello Desiderio, Timo Korhonen, Angelo Gilardino, Thomas Offermann and Ana Vidovic.<\/p>\n
The young guitarist has won numerous national and international competition prizes, including the 2nd prize at the National Competition for Music and Dance (Dubrovnik\/Croatia, 2003), the 1st prize at the “Festival Internacional de Guitarra Cl\u00e1ssica – Guitarmania” (Almada\/Portugal, 2006), the 2. prize at the “Twents Gitaarfestival” (Enschede\/Netherlands, 2007) as well as the 1st prize and the audience award at the “Alhambra Gitaar Festival” (Alkmaar\/ Netherlands, 2007).<\/p>\n
